HAIR TRANSPLANTATION -FUE

In hair transplantation, the patient's hair is redistributed, removing from the donor area (usually the posterior and lateral regions of the head) and transplanting to the bald area, called the recipient area.

The FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) technique is the method of extracting follicular units one by one through circular micro incisions from 0.7 to 1mm in diameter, without the need for linear cutting or surgical stitches. It is a minimally invasive procedure, using local anesthesia and medical discharge on the same day.

The extracted follicles are implanted individually at the recipient region, according to the surgical planning and the patient's expectations. The technical skill combined with the doctor's artistic eye to ensure a natural distribution of the threads, respecting the personal characteristics, such as facial metrics, capillary density, angulation and insertion direction.

We use an instrument developed exclusively to implant the follicle, called Implanter, in a proper and minimal invasive way. The advantages of this method are the precision, speed and higher rate of graft survival.

Hair transplant surgery can last from 8 am to 10 pm, and soon after the patient returns to his home. The procedure is practically painless and the post-operative recovery is very smooth. Return to work occurs after 48 hours, as long as it does not require too much physical effort .

During the healing period, usually up to the 15th day, some care is needed regarding hygiene and handling of the recipient area. After this period, it is regular for the transplanted hairs to fall and regrow in the 3rd to 4th months gradually and progressively. The final result is permanent and will occur after 12 to 14 months.
